I came into physiotherapy because of my interest in movement. This interest resulted in me studying at the Cios academy and becoming involved in the organisation and development of sports for those with physical, social or emotional disabilities. My interest in physiotherapy grew during this period, while I was working with disabled children. Both the gym and swimming lessons were a lot of fun for the children but I saw that it was the physiotherapy that really helped the children to progress and this is what I wanted to do. 

In 2006, I completed my training in Utrecht and started working in Oostzaan. My affinity with sports has remained but I expanded further into working with those with cancer and the problems this can cause during and after treatment. It gives me enormous satisfaction to bring out the best in people. I do this by working together with the patient to reduce pain, lift restrictions and allow them to function better within their range of possibilities. This significantly improves their quality of life.
